    so is it safe to assume to use this same theory for an oil pan gasket?

    Oil pan should be rubber o-ring type. Go to auto parts store and buy some gasket material, it's cheap $$. Unless you like cereal...........................

    Doesn't that cereal come with silicone?? If so fruit loops is the way to go

    I'm thinking that for that whole outfit there should be silicone rationing.
