Hello everyone! Long time, first time...

I recently picked up a 93 vfr750f with about 32k miles on it. I knew that the bike had been laid down and the seller had done most of the work putting it back together. The bike runs well and rides smooth but after getting home I wanted to thoroughly inspect it. To my horror, I found the right front cylinder wall was cracked. I wanted a few opinions on the possible lifespan of an engine with this type of damage. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Scott

Perfectly normal markings from the casting, take a gelatinous chill pill and have a beer.

With your words of encouragement, a beer and a google image search I feel much better. It looked as though it was dented but its just a relief in the casting to access that bolt below it.

    Thanks

I love happy endings, those motors have the cylinders cast into the upper case. Very robust design...love the gen3s:loco:
