It is clean, its my bike. I took damn good care of her. Never abused. I gave them all the maint. records from day one. I documented everything. I plan on a new VFR in the next couple years. I'm missing it and some what regretting trading it in. Bought it brand new. No one had ever even sat on it other than myself.

Sounds like you take care of your bikes like I do. I wanted an RWB but couldn't find a new one on the sales floor in 2009, so I bought the candy glory red model. Hope you find another one!

The pictures look perfect, other than the seat, which is still fine. but supposedly it has left hand damage from being dropped in a parking lot?

Just for reference how much did the dealer pay you for the bike?

Billy, they gave me 3,550.00. Candt Red I actually put that old seat back on when I traded it. Gave the sergant to a friend. I just read about the damage they did to it. Kinda sickening. Ghost., I almost bought on the ABS model but this one poped up at motor sports on K15 and 31st. Bob Troxel the owner knew I was looking and called me. I always try to keep my bikes up to par. I hate walking lol.

I wish Motor Sports was still in business, that's where I bought my Goldwing and had service completed (if I couldn't do it myself). Most of the mechanics and service manager went to MAPS on West Street, when Motor Sports closed. My Wing is going to MAPS next Tuesday for the 32K mile service.

Sound like you did OK selling your VFR.

Ya Ghost, id known Bob since I was 13. I always got a good deal from him. I bought many bikes from him. When dealing with MAPS it seems I always have to hagle on price, then pull the let me talk to Mark card. I perfer to spend my money local, but at times they make it tough.

The dealer will more than make up for that difference of fifty pesos he lost by fixing the damage that is not shown. Is "showroom price" a term that is used in the land of OZ?

To be more specific, was the offer of $3550.00 for your bike a trade in offer on another bike or cash?

Dealers are dealers and you and I and everyone else who walks in the door are on thier turf.

Billy, it was trade in price. They had 4,750.00 On it before the the accident. They now have 3,500.00 on it as is. You can see the damage at bobz bikz .com. mostly cosmetic.

Thanks for the straight answer.. For 1200 pesos + your care of the bike makes that a not too bad a deal. 1200 pesos will buy a lot of cosmetic repair and paint.

By the way, Bobz Bikz is a very large used metric dealer. No new bikes. I have to say they are very fair, and the staff actualy cares that they treat you fair and make every effort to get you on the proper bike. I had them rolling bike after bike out for test rides. They stayed about a hour after closing dealing with me. They are located in a small town 45 miles west of Wichita. I got the price I wanted and bought the Interstate for a grand under bluebook loaded. They buy mostly harley trades. I'm hoping in the next couple years the interceptor is upgraded to a liter and goes back to gear driven cams. I traded mine in because I needed more luggage, wind and weather protection for the long trips we've planned this year. The stereo and all the other comfort creatures were a plus. I've owned four VFRs. This isn't the last.
