Hi All. Just finished setting my valves. Thanks for the help.

Need more help. I have six identical valve cover bolts and two similar but larger bolts. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the valve covers before I removed them. Parts fiche only show one type of bolt. I'm sure the larger bolts are stock because of strong similarity to the other six. I can't remember where they go. Anyone help? Thanks

What year is your bike? All eight are the same on my 83. Sounds like someone used two from another year.

Partzilla shows only one bolt and one rubber washer for all 8. Bolt is about $8 from them.

check the distance from bolt head to bottom threads. Insert different bolts by hand to find out if they tighten up normally, that is, only when the top flange contact starts resistance. never over-tighten. when you feel resistance don't go more than 1/16 turn.
