I consider myself unlucky if I see a frost here, snow chains a little redundant for me :) I noticed that all the comments were in a Cyrillic script so probably Russian.

So simple even a monkey can do it

not too sure I would like to ride with them fitted or in the conditions they would be required

I had a revelation recently that absolute traction is not required if you can keep the bike up, even on the street.

Implement a heavy gyroscope, a weight spinning at a tremendous speed. It changes directions to preserve torque and counteract the lean. For winter set it to allow some maximum lean angle, like 20°, so that it never let's you lean further than that.

It requires constant power to keep it spinning, thus the battery must recharged for every ride.

A little slipping and sliding around the corners won't harm you, just like on dirt. You will be free to ride on snow and ice at reasonable speeds.

What a brilliant idea (insert sarcasm here) There have been countless times where I really really wanted to take my motorcycle out during ice storms and blizzards but was worried about traction control issues. Now I finally have confidence to ride to the liquor store during winter storms

Seeing I could not understand the language. I don't know if the chains are for the street or for ice racing on lakes. If it's the street forget it. You'll slide all over if there is no snow/ice hard pack to run on. Like studded car tires do in the rain.

Now racing on frozen lakes they would seem to be a great idea. Maybe even better than studs (screws) in the tires. Wouldn't want one to come loose. I'd bet it would be a real mess with chains flying about.

The simple answer there is to get a HD, they have scrapey bits that won't allow anything over 11.3 degrees.

Some people see that as a limitation or design flaw, but HD is actually looking out for your safety!

On top of that, they have power-limiting traction control (cannot be turned off)

Their system works year-round, in any conditions.

Well it is a Russian product, so you may have nailed the reasoning behind it...

Wonder if they are ZR rated? One little overrev and it doubles as a nailbomb...

What about when one hooks a brake line, or the chain.... nah I'm sure they totally thought this one through!

Ice racing has been around for years. The Russians are usually top dogs or if preferred, polar bears. The bikes are similar to short track or speedway bikes. The lean angles of todays Moto GP fast guys was not their invention.

In Canuckistan there are ice racing events that are akin to road races on some of those bigass frozen lakes up there..

I wonder if filling up your tires with lead shot would result in the same effect as a gyroscope. It sure would be less drain on a battery and maybe even prolong the life of one of those R/Rs that sometimes cause problems.

I used to have those revelations too. Cutting oot the Mescal helped.

Hmm, well if I believed that I would have missed out on about 1400 miles of riding since November...

If I was smart I would've made it all one ride to say, Florida. And stayed there.

Maybe more concerning, for whoever might be behind!

Good position for those wanting to emulate the Hellraiser look..

Agreed, but Yammi cheated. Way to sound like a V4 without actually being one!

The Cross plane has proven in WSBK to be very competent and I'm very happy they are back. If Lowes can keep it shiny side up he might be competitive this year.
