    Hi!
I see all these technical spesifications online, but i wonder if there are any genuine Honda documents to back this up? I have no doubt in the spesifications posted on this site, but i am in the process of regristrating a 1986 Honda VFR750 imported from Denmark, and the certificate of title does not include power (kW) or axelpressure (kg). Does anyone know anything or have any good ideas? Thanks alot!

I've never heard of a motor vehicle needing those figures to be registered... but then you have to abide by some fantastically strict rules.

Would it not be a simple matter of maths and a conversion? Or do you need to provide something that has been published?

Well, axel pressure i belive they can measure on site, but the power is another question.. Norwegian law is cruel sometimes hehe..

Older Genuine Honda Owners Manuals and Service Manuals often listed the horsepower.

So do you need to provide published documents or can you put the onerous on the authority to do their maths?

Thank you all, sadly no it doesn't say anywhere what the engine power is, but i have looked up a lot of these bikes in Norway, and none of them seem to be registrated with the power value, so my guess is that Honda didn't have an official value noted. Another thing is that a lot of vehicles older 30 years in Norway have not listed the power only the stroke, or engine size.

I have been e-mailing back and forth with the customs office now and concluded that i need to confirm the power, an old shop manual og ANYTHING similar will suffice, if anyone has anything like that or any tips I will gladly purchase it, tho I belive a picture will be enough. Thank you all.

Do a google search for specs on the model and year. There are sites out there that do have hp numbers. The ones I saw were 105hp. Didn't see a torque spec though for the 750 only for 700. Wasn't the European bikes at that time limited to 100hp all the way around?

I have a feeling that the specifics are not needed for an imported vehicle. Looking over the NPRA Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office site there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information on the process, rather it's all sort of vague and basically just says you need to bring the vehicle in to be assessed and approved for Norway roads.

    http://www.vegvesen.no/en/Vehicles/Buy+and+sell/First+time+registration+in+Norway/Approval

I'm guessing that IVA needs to be done in order for them to go over everything and get you the documentation to register it. I'm not quite sure where any of that info you are looking for would be listed since in the factory service manual and the factory user's manual there is no listing.

The long way around might be to get the bike type approved in the EU with their MSVA and then use that type approval as a certification in NO? I'm just throwing out idea's now. lol

It's not a bad idea, but a lot of hazzle, I was told that actually an old sale's brosure will suffice, because I belive they contain the power. But, any idea where one can obtain such a thing?

Well, then does it need to be a manufacturer brochure? I found a published magazine that has that info listed, still looking for old brochures though. Found a bunch of brochures for RC36's but still looking for older ones for the RC24.

Wow guys, really thankful for all the help. I have now bought a 1986 sales brochure which will be with me in a week or so, hopefully this will suffice. I will post pictures of the bike here in the forum when its back with me in Norway, if thats of interest to you.

Do any of you guys have a Haynes book for the bike? If so would it be possible to take a picture of the page with the specs on it? Just found out by a friend in the same position as me, that this worked for his bike. Im hoping that the manual i've already purchased will be enough, but just in case.
