I have a rogue cable on my 2002 non-ABS bike that I don't know what its supposed to be connected to. It's a thin cable with blackish insulation that is cable tied to the CBS brake line on the left side directly under the tank. Inside the insulation there are a yellow and a black wire, both really really thin. Is this a OEM cable, or something a previous owner have added? What is it supposed to do?

The main reason I ask is that the cable is cut in both ends, or rather torn apart. I've tried to consult the service manual, but I can't for the life of me find anything similar. I might be looking in the wrong section, or even be partial blind... Please help! :)

The only solid yellow wires in a 6g wiring harness run from the stator to the RR and the pulse generator to the ECM...but the other associated wires aren't solid black and the bike is running...which it wouldn't be without the stator or the pulse generator. I have a hunch this was an add on that got disconnected and isn't part of the original harness. Yes, a picture would be helpful.

Maybe the PO had an LED kit in there that he tore out?

Until you get that wire fixed you will not be able to travel back in time on your VFR
