New 2014 VFR Owner

Hey folks... New to VFRworld.com. Had a 2000 VFR and 2008 ZX6R previously. Loved the 2000 VFR, didn't quite like the ZX6R despite a 1000 mile ride on it. When it came time for another bike a new VFR was a no-brainer. I picked up a leftover, white, 0-mile, 2014 the other day for a very reasonable price considering they threw in a Shoei GT Air helmet! Hope to do the Great Lakes Gold ride in the next few rides to put on the miles.

 

Welcome to The World! Hard to beat the VFR for those longer rides while still maintaining that sportiness we all seem to enjoy.

 

Very true on the sportiness aspect. As much as the more upright seating position on other bikes seems appealing I just can't get myself to move in that direction. Hope to see some aftermarket seats for the Gen 8's sometime soon.

Here's an unflattering pic from the garage. It's subfreezing here in Wisco and cloudy. Maybe it'll be better riding weather here in the next month or two and I'll have a better backdrop.

No tiny bags, although the lowest price I've found is $848. Still, I've got a tank bag on order, which usually suffices, on long runs I'll throw on a tail bag.

 

Haven't waxed it yet, still haven't gotten the road grime off from the lone +40 degree day when I rode her home from the dealer. Sub 32 degree days for the 10 day outlook so guess it'll be sitting in the garage for a while.

 

You will learn very quickly that no response to SOW is best.....trust me, and the rest here
