    Hi Everyone,

This is a great site. I have been lurking for some time. Anyway, I recently acquired an 86 500 Interceptor with 8k miles. It is in pretty good condition...nice rider. I have multiple bikes but have always had a soft spot for the early interceptors. I also like the turbo bikes and would like to have the complete collection (6 bikes...I think) some day. I currently have two turbos- 83 Suzuki XN85 and an 82 Honda CX500T.

    Thanks,
    Charlie

Welcome Charlie. I had a '86 VF500 for many years and loved it. I often say I never should have sold that one... Turbos huh? My friend briefly had the CX500 Turbo in '83. My 33 year old memories are of outrageous explosive power on boost. I was, however comparing it to my F-ing useless Yamaha 550 Vision. Cool bikes. I would love the XN85. Stick around. Laker

You might consider hunting down a Kawasaki gpz750 turbo. A very good bike with state of the art suspension and anti dive for its time. Could hit 250kph on the speedo. And it's reliable. I know because I raced the thing in a four hour endurance race, winning the production class and finishing fourth overall. Turbo lag there was but when it kicked in in second gear out of a chicane, you'd know about it!

Hi Charlie, welcome. It is always cool to be introduced to cool old bikes from those of us who have not been riders for very long.

I just picked up the Suzuki turbo at the mecum auction this January. A nice gpz750 turbo was auctioned as well but didn't meet reserve. I tried to make a deal but was unsuccessful. I hope it comes around again.
