This was the first video I shot with my GoPro helmet-cam last fall (South of Wichita, KS):

Hopefully I'll be uploading a lot of others to Youtube this spring - Ride safe my friends.

What mount setup did you use ?

I am guessing it was a "J" hook on the chin piece

You're exactly right, I may post a pic later. I also bought a mic for it, but am not sure when I'll start using it. I really like the chin mount with the "J" hook, real easy to wear and the wind doesn't catch it like a side mount does.

Nice, and good to know how you had it mounted. I'm playing out mounting option. Very impatient waiting for decent weather so I can play.

OK, I shot a few pics with my phone (not great). There are pics of the slide mount on the helmet and the mount it's sell, will all of the pieces. You'll notice the camera it's self is tilted up. I messed with this a bit before I got the tilt right for normal riding and also to make sure it didn't interfere with the helmet's venting system. I originally used a "J" hook, but forgot I'd changed it last fall. The "J" hook just didn't give me enough of an angle up, so I didn't have to tilt me head at an unnatural angle.

You can see I bought the optional black open-type cover for the camera. It's not waterproof, but gives you access to sound or a mic hookup. They're cheap on eBay, along with plenty of accessory mounting parts. Also, I went to the hardware store and bought some hex-bolts to use instead of the hand bolts the mounts came with. It made for a cleaner look.

I was worried that with all of the mounts hooked together it would vibrate, but as you can see from the video on the original post it doesn't.

Side benefits in both Kansas and Nebraska is minimal wear on tire edges.
