Some HD repaints are to the customers specs and butt ugly. The factory paintjobs are well done with really great paint.

I tried my door remote on my white Chevvy and it didn't change colors. What gives with that? ;)

We can be sure that all those harleydoods who do Daytona are not "raceists".

The power supply for that paint/coating is still kind of a mystery..

Did an ad once for a class, for seven luminescent condoms and a UV bulb. Got an A on that one. Should have said they had "large" printed on them for an A+...

I read about this stuff somewhere, and watched an install/application video. Cannot for the life of me remember where or find it now.

I can recall that the contact area is just more paint with a wire basically taped to it, then sealed with the clearcoat. Multiple colours can be used but they must be electrically isolated from each other. The power supply is a DC to DC converter about the size of a wallet. Not sure if one needed for each colour or if there are multiple outputs on a single supply but that would have more to do with how much you are willing to spend on the supply than anything else. I do know a single output DC to DC with 6V in and 12-36V out is the size of a bic lighter so there probably is more than one output.

Will keep looking for the video. It answered all these questions and more.

The one company has a website. Not much info on the inverter/converter (??) But they do have some instruction on how to apply the stuff for $235.00. Probably more in Canadian Pesos.

Give it a few months and Walmart will have Chinese kits for $19.95 or Harley will have the same in their botiques with a HD label for $1900.95. USP..
