Hey everybody, just traded into the VFR world. Had a 2005 yamaha v-star 1100 classic and traded for a 2004 VFR800 ABS. Pretty happy with the change from cruiser to sport tourer. Couldnt be happier with the bike and how it rides. Accidentally did a wheelie at a traffic light my first time out on it! Sure is quicker than the V-star! I reside in Ventura county. Here are a couple shots of my new-to-me bike.

Thanks guys. Glad you like the bike and the photos. Seems like this place might have a couple characters lurking in the shadows. Here are a few more pictures of my bike! It is only the right side because the previous owner tipped it over while washing it and messed up the left side fairing. He tried to touch it up but almost made it look worse. Figuring out if i want to get it repainted or try something with some of that Plasti-dip stuff.
Sir Panda, I am glad to have another vfrian in the neighborhood. I am about 10ish miles west of you in Moorpark. We gotta hook up once I get the skinny on the repairs to my bike.
Sometimes it feels like hearding cats to get the So Cal riders together! I know for a while I was posting ride invites but not very many takers so I stopped with the invites but didn't stop riding. I now have a few fellow Southern Californians that I ride with, some even have a VFR to ride. We did have a couple of meet and greets and had a decent turn out for one but seems too few and far between. All that being said the one not to miss is the R3 event that Reg71 host at his place in Atascadero. It's usually on Memorial Day weekend and is 3 days worth of riding. Friday everyone rolls up, Saturday we ride the roads in the central coast area and then Sunday we ride home. For this event we typically get a few of us to ride up together and have a great time. Do a search for R3 to see what it's all about. For the record, I am usually riding every weekend at least one of the days so if you want a riding partner (or two as I do have those I ride with regularly) PM me or post up here on the forum, most likely we'll be able to ride together I'm sure.
