Hi VFR Fans! I've been lurking for awhile and finally decided to join in. I got my 2007 VFR back on May 5 and have absolutely no regrets about getting it. I still have too many other things going on (some good, some not so good) to get in enough riding; can't believe I only have 1,200 miles on the bike in over two months. But hey, they're quality miles! What a refined and confidence inspiring machine. I rode a lot between about 1980 and 1994 (BMW R60/5 and R65), but just ran out of time and forgot about motorcycling until last year. Wasn't quite sure what I wanted and didn't want to make a big financial commitment, so I found a used Suzuki GS500F to ride and evaluate whether I really wanted to get back into motorcycling. Enjoyed the GS (reminded me of my first bike, a 1978 Honda Hawk, a 400cc parallel twin). Kinda fun returning to the "roots of motorcycling" on the GS for awhile. Anyway, learned I still liked motorcycling and after much deliberation (aka obsessing) decided on the VFR. Glad to be a member of the VFR community. As an aside, great website and forum. Loads of valuable info that helped me make my decision on the VFR.
Hi there, welcome to the community. My folks live near Hburg and there are some nice riding roads up there. With the dry spell, should have quality riding surface.
Yo Zap, Welcome to the Brotherhood, Mine is a 5th gen machine, I'll bet yours has undergone some nice refinements! I live near Valley Forge, Pa. let me know if you are planning to ride thru or around here, would be kinda nice to meet a VFR fan in person. eddie
Greetings. My parents are from Johnstown but now live in Ebensburg. I wish the CPRofNJ had 1/4 of the good roads Cambria county does. Even if NJ did, they would be packed full of NJ idiots. KC-10 FE out... lane:
