So I am doing some winter maintenance and I am in search of throttle cables. Where is everyone turning to get parts that are not being manufactured anymore as OEM or aftermarket and it seems the dealers are out as well?

    Thanks for the help!

EMGO makes replacement cables for both new and old models. Most bike shops will have access to them.

Most of us are running on the original cables, so what's wrong with yours ??????

Most wear happens in the throttle grip curve. Sticky cables can be lubed.

Well nothing is wrong yet. If I can I like to keep an extra throttle cable and clutch cable if the bike I am on has one. I always take them on anything more than a couple hours from home. Reason being is I have broken cables and other parts while out riding (mainly dual sports) and it is so nice to have a replacement part to fix it, rather than.......well you know happens right? Ride bitch on your buddies bike or call the wife, or worse a tow truck, either way it's a pain in the ass that can be avoided.

Partzilla is a great place to do cross references. Honda uses many of the same parts on multiple bikes. This really helps when looking for used parts too. The parts availability is now opened up.
