Well it only has 24k on it and it did "ran when parked" .
In Aussie terms $700 for that is a steal.

First, I have actually been having trouble finding the free time to go up there. It is about three hours from my house. Second, my kid broke one of his aluminum car wheels and has borrowed my truck. Third, I have ear marked some of my motorcycle fun money to some much needed Norton upgrades. And fourth I blew $240 of said fun money on a performance award. The only thing good about the ticket was my wife was in the truck with me when i got it. If I had been jacked up on the bike I would have never heard the end of it.

Haha yes why be realistic when you can be euphemistic lol

I won the "lottery" twice on the VFR last summer, well it's a reverse-lottery of sorts I suppose!

$800 for both, I forgot to bargain shop!

Are you down to 2 bikes now (IIRC you had or were looking at a ST1100)? If so you could use the argument that it would be an everyday hack to save miles on your current VFR. Don't know about over in the US but plastics would probably be a problem.

I know. I could piece the fairing back together. It would take time and patents but it is doable. I hate cosmetic work. I can make em run and I can make em reliable but I have always had a problem making them pretty. I have begged off for now. I have about two weeks to make a decision. It's pretty much out in the middle of no where and I have been talking with the owner. I have the VTR that I put local fun miles on. I take the VFR when I want to go somewhere. The Superhawk is just too uncomfortable for a long trip.

Hmm? Jim could you explain that uncomfortableness more. I had a friend with a hawk and he up graded to the CBR1100 he wasn't comfortable on it either, I tried to talk him into a VFR but he wanted more grunt, SMH lol funny thing about that, when we rode he never gave me any trouble keeping up so??? I even had it in mind to look for a Super hawk if the price was right. I kinda like em, sorta a rebel of a VFR no?

Don't get me wrong, I love the Superhawk but when it comes to all day riding comfort the VFR has it all down. The Superhawk has a more aggressive riding position. It is not really uncomfortable. it's just a bit cramped, kind of like a cheap hotel "no ballroom." If you get a chance to pick one up I will guarantee that you will find it an awesome ride. The closest i can come to comparing the Superhawk and the VFR is that the SH is more brutal and uncivilized. Mucho fun!

You gotta pick it up NOW !! gO for it or forever be ridiculed. :witless:

If you've never ridden a 4th gen, you don't know what you're missing. Too smooth, too perfect, too much like a reliable, simple Honda Civic. The smoothness makes it alot less a motorcycle than an a kitchen appliance with amazing performance.
