I feel uncomfortable without fill gear. Even in the summer time in 100+ heat I still wear it. Let's just say that once you are saved by it you will never be comfortable without it.

I was thinking about doing one of the Iron Butt sanctioned, 1000 miles in 24 hours, rides but I have been freaked out by the deer. Dave and I rode down to south Texas on a Saturday night last year, and I remember my headlights illuminate the deer eyes just off the shoulder of the highway. This was not once but many times. To do a 1000 mile ride would require some night riding and the deer just freak me out.

 

The smartest thing he did was call himself fucking stupid.

Anybody that has done one of those when the rider meets the road things, that shit happens so fast that the last guy to be able to reconstruct the event with accuracy

is the guy whose ass got busted. The dude riding in front might get a quick shot of the event in a rearview mirror and whoever is behinds unless some distance behind is likely scrambling to avoid running over the poor SOB on the deck or his bike or even Bambi's daddy. All of whom do not make the best eye witnesses. Hence the very detailed and as through as possible, forensics used by LEO's .

 

Last couple of days there were some random thumbnails of a member here on a VFR with both he and his pillion aboot to flash some tits both in states of N-ATTGAT.

 

I like that last line: "With proper gear he would be without a scratch." But he'd still be a stoopid douche.
