Looking to replace my stock muffler w/ something that has a bit of a growl - nothing too insane. I see brand new Delkevic stainless on Ebay for under $200, they seem to be a pretty popular choice for VFRs at a very good price, and I think they sound pretty good. I'm also seeing some used D&D, Vance & Hines, and Two Brothers (see the links below) at roughly the same price point. Is it a no-brainer to just go with the new can vs. used for similar money, or do some of these used examples offer something (better product, better construction, etc.) that I'm not aware of. I don't really care about shiny "new", as the bike is 20 years old, and I'm not afraid of a couple hours of polishing. I'm interested to hear any feedback.

I have a 96 VFR and a 2000 VFR and both have Delkevic 18" stainless slip-ons. The Delkevic can on the 96 VFR sounds amazing and honestly has a bit more basey a growl. After trying both bikes with and without the decibel reducers, IMO they sounded better with the decibel reducers installed.

I have also heard a couple of VFR's locally with D&D and Two Brothers exhaust and they both sound excellent. For the cost of the Delkevic new, I would highly recommend their slip-on.

Thanks Zoom. I probably will end up going with the Delkevic, but figured I'd do some research to see if I was possibly missing something in regards to these other slip-ons which are no longer made.
