I would just solder and heat shrink them to be honest.

Any connector is a point of failure.

Do you have any friends that are decent? Personally, I don't like crimped type connections since they can oxidize and/or come apart more easily.

Shit, if I lived in the US I'd tell you to send me your stator and R/R and I'd solder them for you. LOL.

Check the wire size (can't remember the gauge but I believe you want the Yellow ones - verify by looking at the wire it should be marked down the side of it): http://www.posi-products.com/lock2.html

Solder them, no time like the present to learn how to solder them, save you a lot of grief in the future. Get a soldering iron, get some old wire to practice on, strip the wire back 5mm, clean it with steel wool till it is shiney, twist the wires back tight, hot soldering iron onto the wire and bring the solder up onto the wire, get the wire coated with solder. Do the same to another piece, then bring the 2 soldered ends together side by side, hold steady and with the iron melt the soldered ends together.

Twisting them together and taping them is not a good fix, they get hot and the tape melts:sorrow:

gawd. When you coat the wire with solder, its called "tinning" don't use wire nuts or tape, like they said above practice makes perfect, and some good magnifiers work well.

Twist together, solder and then cover with heat shrink. Permanent fix.
