Vfr versus rgv

    Hi to everyone! Im new to this forum, sorry if the topic has already been discussed, but. Id really like to know what you fellas think.. Rgv 250 vj22 versus vfr nc30 ? .. Pul away, handling, top end, reliability, looks ... On quater mile... I dont know much about bikes, but u guys sound really clued up on al this?

    Two totally different bikes. Ride them both and see what you like. The VFR has a broad powerband (for a 400) and while it's quite light not as light as the RGV, but the RGV is a two stroke soggy as hell off the bottom and a narrow and short power band. The Honda will be infinitely more reliable and serviceable long term.

    I have never ridden a vfr400, but I can say If you plan on doing alot of riding the 400 might be the better bet. The RGV has alot of minor maintanance which should be done on a regular basis ie clean power valves, remove carbon, that you don't have to do with a 4 stroke. Plus on the RGV, Make sure the power valves have been upgraded because the stock original have a brittle pin that could break and drop into the cylinder head. I do think the RGV is a bang and a half to ride and I enjoy my time with it, but its not a day to day rider. hope that helps, Keith
