    Hi

My name is Gregan, and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. Just aquired a 1986 VFR 750F, in pretty good nick (for it's age) and am enjoying the bike very much so far. Do not have a decent picture of it yet, but will post one when I do.

Need to do a coolant flush and a few other things, and hope to find this forum useful in the future.

Thanks, and hope to chat to some of you soon.

    Gregan

Gregan: Congrats on getting a beautiful bike. The VFR's a bit different than than the jugs on the Beemer, enjoy the silky V-4 :)

    Thanks nozzle!

Yup, The V4 sure is sweet, and yes, it is WAY different to the old airhead.

Do you have some pictures of the bikes you can post? I'd like to see 'em both.

    Welcome!

I had an old airhead, then I started dating my wife and dumped her.

Okay, here is "A" pic of my new acquisition. I believe she is an import from Japan. Heaven only knows when she arrived on our shores, but apparently, Honda SA never imported these bikes themselves back then. It has this quaint little red light on the bottom of the dash, with "speed" written on it...cane it a bit and the light comes on...mmm....anyone got one of those?

Excuse the white stuff on the exhaust there. Was riding yesterday and caught a plastic bag, which promptly infused itself on my pipe.

And nozzle, here's the airhead. This was a restoration project, because unlike old Japanese bikes here, you can buy an old BM, restore it, ride it for a few years and then sell it for a profit! Got new paint & stripes, redid the rims, major service, new rubbers for the inlets & away u go...Great bike, but entirely different to the VFR.
