This thread may be old, but I'll still love pork roll. And just a little local knowledge: If you live in northern NJ (roughly about rt. 78 if you look at a map) its called Taylor Ham. When you get to southern Jersey, its called pork roll. Being that I've spent my entire life in norther NJ, its Taylor Ham. Period. I head down the shore and still order it as Taylor ham, egg and cheese. They look and say "You mean pork roll"? No, fucker - Taylor ham.
