    Hello all,

I have the carbs off my Interceptor and am having trouble finding a rebuild kit. There seem to be a lot of kits for other V45 bikes like Magnas and earlier/smaller VFRs but I can't seem to find a complete rebuild kit for the 1986 VFR750. Can anyone provide some insight on where I can find a compatible kit?

    Thanks all!!!

Not sure if he can help your not, but maybe send squirrelman a Private message. He is one of our local carb guru's and he might be s Le to either rebuild the carbs for you, or possibly give you an idea as to where to get a rebuild kit.

Oh man, parts for those were hard to find 10 years ago when I did my '82 Magna. You'll have to scour the internet, maybe even use some used parts. I believe I found mine all on flea bay.

The biggest thing here though, is to be incredibly careful with the diaphragms, I don't think you can get those anymore and if you damage them, them, you're up shit creek without a paddle.

The only commonly needed replacement parts you might want are the float bowl gasket and float needles, both available online but not in any VFR-specific repair kit.

Bowl o-rings can be replaced with industrial items referenced elsewhere on our site, and float needles are Keihin K-1, widely available.

It's rare that anything else would need replacement.

Thanks Squirrelman!!! My biggest concern was the float bowl gaskets, I think everything else should be fine. I found a seller on ebay who has a partial kit with the gaskets, float needles, and float bowl screws/washers. Just wanted to double check before I shelled out $100. Much appreciated all!

I just did a complete tear down/rebuild on my carbs. I ordered all my stuff OEM from Partzilla. Yes, probably a bit more money but I felt better about it. squirrelman is right (as he usually seems to be) about there not being a complete rebuild kit. I ended up ordering a gasket kit and used about 1/4 of them. Could have ordered individuals for what I needed.
