Can someone measure an eom front sprocket?

Can someone with an OE front sprocket for a 2bd gen in a box measure its width?

JT Sprockets claims both 14.4mm or 16.7mm fitment, depending on how you look it up.

Or, confirmation of either the 333 or the 339 as correct.

I have the 339 (14.5mm) on now and it looks like the sprockets are offset (that discussion was in Mechanics Garage, but I wanted to post here for this particular request).

 

Anyone? Bueller?

 

Not a lot of 2 Gen owners on line I guess. Hopefully someone will chime in for you soon.

 

The width of the sprocket including the spacers on both sides and the retainer? Or just the width of the sprocket part itself?

 

Dukiedook. Well, you raise an interesting question. My bike doesn't have spacers. Just the retaining bolt and it's washer. (and per the fiches, that's all I see as well).



38 is the oil seal
18 is the sprocket
25 is the washer
20 is the retaining bolt

 

Well, if you have an OEM and you look right below the teeth in the pic there are two metal spacers held on by retaining rings held in with what look like rivets. I don't know what aftermarket front sprockets look like but hopefully they built like the OEM or you will have offset differences. Luckily I found an OEM at David Silvers for sale. Just hot back from a trip and I will try to measure.

 

OEM sprockets have the rubber noise reducers held on by the side plates that are riveted in (I remember that from replacing the OEM sprocket 13K miles ago). But all the aftermarket sprockets are plain.
