^ ha ha, Hit a bat with my brain bucket in NJ, hit a dear in NJ, never got stung by a bee in my life until I rode on the street. If you wear a jacket, it mitigates things. Had numerous bug souflets' down here. Their bug bodies have acid in them and if you don't wipe the spooge off it can etch your paint etc.

 

Today was my unlucky day! I had a hornet fly inside my visor and then the bugger nailed me on the chin while I frantically tried to dig him out. My efforts did dislodge him and then he fell inside my jacket where he waited. I had no idea that he was still with me. Then as I attempted to remove my jacket he nailed me again on the stomach and flew away! He is now on the loose somewhere in the house but I can't find him or you would have an image of his mangled carcass to enjoy.

 

I took a hornet in the neck at speed on the bike a few years ago... it hurt like hell

Haven't gotten stung, but occasionally take a big hit on the shield that moves my head back a bit (and makes a mess of the sheild). I always think about the guys in a bandana and sunglasses when that happens.
