Good morning guys I'm just finishing a re-build of a VFR800 (see picture) and seem to have a few bits missing. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Firstly I don't have anything to fit the battery cover clips to - see picture attached. The battery also looks bigger than the cover might suggest.

Secondly there must be a bracket missing underneath where the left hand side fairing fits onto. Can't see anything.

I'm sure someone here is more familiar with the bike than I am and can help decide what I need to.

Also it rumbles on tickover (36k) but the moment you apply any throttle it sounds sweet. It only rumbles when the tickover is a bit lumpy. If it's running at 1500 on all cylinders, sounds better.

Your throttle plates may need a proper synch to eliminate the rumble around idle.

Starter valve rather than throttle plates? Inlet = side of cylinder, right?

As far as the left trim/battery cover....you are missing a piece, it's number 7 in the pic: http://www.servicehonda.com/parts/l...FENDER/VFR800-06-JPN-AC/2Y14MCW601AMCWAF2800B
you are also missing the rubber strap....

You are missing the left fairing mount that bolts to the engine. There is also a mount that is part of the left side centerstand pivot bolt, it's number 15 in the pic:

Can't help you with the rumble...not too good at interpreting sounds I can't hear.....make sure your idle is set at 1200 rpm to start with.
