See. I knew it was a bad idea, but I thought I was doing something good. I replaced the grips on my viffer......now I have sticky throttle......I mean really bad....I'm talking cruise control bad. I took the grip off but the whole assembly still sticks......What the hell happened...can I free up the throttle so it snaps back into place like it's suppose to?!?!?

I would get some WD-40 or Liquid Wrench, or some type of spray lubricant and spray between the plastic throttle tube and the clip-on. Had the same thing happen to me when I removed my grips. The spray will soften up the goo/gunk between the 2 surfaces. You MIGHT have to remove the plastic throttle tube from the clip-on to get all the gunk off, I didn't, a few squirts was all it took, and it was back to normal. Let me know how it works out.

    or..

It may be that you pushed the grip on too far and it's now rubbing against the throttle/switchgear housing..solution - remove/replace:rolleyes:

Thanks for the tip.....I was enlightened last nite when I started doing burnouts LOL.....I will give it a try. Now that I think about it, I hacked those things on.....I used the glue as a lubricant and pushed the grips on. All I had to was put a piece of plastic bag with a rubber band over the bar end to stop the glue from traveling up that far...
