the 85 vf1000r is alive

After years of procrastination and trying to get parts I finally fired the old girl , I need to get alot of bugs out but im so happy she runs again.

Its to ugly for pics right now,i found this bike behind a garage in boxes.they guy that had it had plans on scraping it.so she looks a little rough right now,but all the parts are there,i will eventually get some posted.

 

How many members on vfr world have vf 1000 r 's.i know about jamie daugherty- he is the reason im gonna finish this project,thanks jamie.

 

One of my two 1000Rs. Took over 15 years (built multiple other bikes and bought a new house during the time), and it's still not technically done.

Spent almost 4 years building mine frame up from a mess. Using Jaime's wheel conversion kits with modifications.

 

I've got a few under glacial speed restoration and Half-arsed restoration.
