Damn. It's shame we didn't hook up sooner.

    You replace that VFR1200 yet?

I actually just sold it yesterday to a guy from Alberta. He rode from Brandon to Calgary in a straight shot :)

Not going to replace it, probably will just stick with the 'ol R1 for a few more years.

zombie - makes sense ... interested in SD/Utah next year? maybe we can get Randy to come ride out and meet us from the West.

mello - one of the guys I'm meeting up with is from just outside Dayton, OH. Regarding mosquitoes, we have ones the size of large birds up here. LOL! :)

Jeff: All depends on work schedule, mostly... We'll have to meet up for a ride here in MB some weekend.

That sounds like a plan ... I want to do a big loop from here, across the narrows, down through RMNP and back this year yet.

Riding Mountain is about the only road worth riding on here in WestMan.... Too bad the surface is horrible the past year or two... They've redone (or are almost finished redoing) Hwy 10 North of the #1 but the roads through the park are in severe need of complete resurface, many frost heaves, sections of broken pavement, etc.

It's still a decent ride, but you have to be careful :/

In any event, if you're ever heading out this way, let me know, I'll go up through the park with ya.

Will do ... I heard the road was in pretty bad shape ... It wasn't the best when I was out there about 3-4 years ago either.

Sorry about the late reply. Not to many good roads between Waukesha and Chicago. I head up to WI for my better rides. Sunday morning I go to Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties. Best bet for you is to go West of Madison towards Prairie du Chien and La Crosse.

TIE DOWNS! Just how rough is this ferry ride? No one uses them going across Georgia Straight to Victoria or Nanaimo from Vancouver. Or is this a regulatory thing.

It's a 4 hour ride across. I wouldn't want my bike laying over or taking someone else's bike out.

Is Wildcat Rd by Whitefish Point Museum paved do you know?

Newberry was a relatively central position for all parties (I am meeting friends from VA and OH) and it's about half way ... they have a KOA with powered sites there. We're only staying one night before base camping in Van Riper.
