OK, I am getting old for sure. Can anyone tell me where these go? I can't for the life of me remember. I've looked at all of the manual diagrams where I've been working and can't solve it. Things done recently; removed airbox, changed oil, installed PCV, installed slipons.

First place I looked. Front tank bolts already had the collared washer in place and they're black. Last thing I did were the clipons. I had the bike on the lift. Afterwards I found them sitting on the lift, so I'm thinking it's from the rear of the bike somewhere. I remember deciding to take them out even though they didn't fall out because I didn't want to loose one. I removed the rear fender and the side fairing.

Might be shouldered washers for the bolts that go through the rear fender / body fairings?

My aftermarket bolt kit uses those with normal bolts instead of the shouldered bolts alone.

I recall seeing these somewhere in the rear area of the bike too. I am leaning towards maybe the licence plate area. Maybe not right at the plate but somewhere near there.

Arnzinator. I think that is a rubber part according to the parts list on that fisch. I went down to try look at mine but I was going to have to dig further into the bike and take things apart, more than I wanted to do today.

Anyways, I am sure I came across those when I mounted my racks for my OEM bags. You had to take the fender and licence plate apparatus apart. I am pretty sure it might be part #19 here.

Oh, right ... I remember that from when I put my luggage mount racks on.

I think could be #15 ... but I don't recall mine being that shiny / new looking. I think mine were black ... and much longer I think?

I think you are right Jeff. Now that you mention it and my old memory gets stirred up a bit. Had a hearing test today so they stirred things up a bit inside the noggen.

Hey kids, get off my lawn!
I've seen that kind of collars in two places: Behind the instrument panel when I took the front end off, and under the rear fender when I installed the tail piece at the time of installing the OEM brackets for the saddle bags and trunk.

Yeah, I looked at the bike this morning. Definitely not the part what I was referencing.

Thank Gawd. I was getting soooo stressed man. I was at the gym the other day and a screw fell out of my gym shirt. Didn't know where the hell that came from. An hour later, my bum fell to the ground. Seems the screw was supposed to be in my belly. I hate left over parts. Beer break............

Don't feel bad, I just put my 83 back together. Took everything off except engine, there were a few mystery parts for awhile too.

I wouldn't feel bad if I were you. One guy came to work with his wrist in a cast. I asked him "What happened? Did you go to wipe your ass and the lead fell out?" :potstir:
