    Hi All,

Just introducing myself, bought a VFR800 2002 6th Gen last week and over the moon with the bike, what an incredible machine!!

Will be doing a few tweaks soon, will post up the pics to share with other VFR Fans!!!

On a separate note, I have a power commander fitted to try and help with the twitchy throttle response at low speed/revs, but hasn't improved a huge amount.... Can anyone give any suggestions?.

    Cheers

    Andy

Yeah, simple mods I did when changing the air filter. It smoothed that jerkiness out my 2004 viffer. I'm very happy with the results.

Welcome from across the pond, Andy. I'm a noob here too and there is a lot of helpful info and persons on here. Let us know how the mods work as I am thinking about those myself.

Also, you happen to know this person? He is in Guildford probably less than 10 miles down the road. Cheers.

Welcome to The World Andy! Very nice ride! I don't believe we get this color in the states, good looking blue BTW. Regarding what Duccmann said, there private maps that can be downloaded but Dynotune does have off the shelf maps that support many aftermarket pipes, Leo Vince too if I recall correctly. I believe this is what I used on Duccmann's ride.

Of course the best way to get the most out of the PC is by getting a proper Dynotune but obviously that means spending more money. Although many claim that removing the snorkel, keeping the flapper valve open and removing the PAIR valve was the ticket, there are plenty of others who can say differently. That being said, you do need to disable or remove the PAIR if you are going to get your bike Dynotuned. The snorkel and flapper valve does gives you more intake noise but in my case didn't seem to make a difference with throttle response. I would suggest going to the Dynotune web site and downloading their map pack, and try the one that matches your setup, or close as possible and see how it goes. Another thing to look at is a starter valve sync. Doing both of these will probably get you more bang for the buck but you can always look into the private maps or a proper Dynotune.

    Cheers
