    Hello everyone,

First of all thanks a lot for helping out with our VFR800 2002 not running. Lesson learned, it's usually the small things and never take anything for granted.

So as I mentioned previously too, we are working on getting the VFR800 engine to run on E85 for a competition and as a project too. The idea is to use this engine as a source to run a genset which in turn charges the battery and acts as a source to drive elec. drive motors in an automobile.

I have scoured the net for E85 kits for VFR800 but coudn't find anything specific. I found an E85 compatible fuel pump and fuel hoses as of now.

My question here is, that if any of the users here have converted their VFR to run E85 I would be really thankful if you could guide me to the components I need to change before running it and possibly the manufacturers of those components, so that I can find them online.

We would be doing a dyno test of the bike after this and tuning it to perform better for our purpose.

Any guidance and help is highly appreciated from the community.

    Aman

Well you covered the pump and hoses but you will likely have to upgrade to larger fuel injectors. I dont think the stock ones can pump out the 40ish % more fuel needed to run E-85. Good luck on your project it sounds fun

You may be able to find Honda car injectors to work. Some of the larger bikes when going turbo or sc have used car injectors. You may want to search sport bike sites for info of that type. I wouldn't leave E85 in your fuel tank for any period of time unless you come up with a stainless tank.

I am having problems locating 12mm -6 AN banjo fittings for the fuel feed line. I have got the hose but can't find proper fittings. Can anyone direct me to a vendor that would probably have those or a good workaround this problem.

    All help is appreciated.
