Finishing up some surgery to my '86 and I need to consult the collective wisdom that sometimes surfaces here.

I have installed clip-ons from a '97 VFR750 on forks from a '01 Yamaha Thundercat (YZF600r) and I need to know what it's going to take to get the '97 controls to work with my wiring harness. Has anyone else upgraded the controls on their 2nd gen? If so, any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Any help here? Has no one upgraded their controls on a 2nd gen? The right side control ass'y hooks right up, I just want to know if anyone has made the left side work.

I'm with you on that one, the right side plugs right up and poses no issues at all. It's more the left side I'm curious about. Just wondering if anyone has come up with anything clever.
