    Quick update

Paint is going to run $800-1k, full custom or an OEM finish will be really close in price- mostly because the OEM decals themselves are around $150 and a custom job is only $200-250 more (An elaborate race livery for example). Along with parts it'll be about $1300 total.

I bled the crap out of the brakes (5x in a row) and they both work now. What a PITA on this bike.. I still haven't taken it outside of my street to properly test. For some reason on the 4th attempt the rear caliper was dragging :confusion:

Next on this list is a coolant flush, oil change, and I'll bolt the fairings back up to ride out the season as is.

I get this light pop under hard braking through the handlebars, I thought it was the head bearing so I had a buddy hold it on the center stand while I pulled on the front- nothing. Any ideas?

The pop is probably steering stem bearings. They are usually shot by 30,000 miles. I suggest All Balls tapered roller bearings.

I'm a fan of no decals, personally. Mine.

Withoot seeing all the damage to the paintwork, and if a stock paintjob is not needed or wanted, some repair to scratches and gouges can be done to the the plastic parts and some selective repainting in a contrasting color scheme can be done. Another solutions is always decals and vinyl graphics of fast guy stuff, favorite tires, brake fluid, valve stems, after shave ect.

Here's an idea for some sharpie. Make up some decals of the signature of famous fast guys. One would have to be careful of displaying same of the replicated signature of say Elvis or Evel on a new bike..and hope that it would pass inspection.
