Ok. This is my project for this winter. What we have here is a 1978 CB750F Supersport. I know that it is not a VF or VFR or even a V, but it is the grandfather of all that you plant your butts on. If it wasn't for this bike, you would all be tooling around on a shovelhead wondering what more you could chrome. Or, you might be trying to get that Triumph to run "just right" long enough to get to the corner store to pick up your weekly ration of oats and rice because Nixon was declared as President for life and thats what we'd eat after the 2nd war with Japan. The entire Pacific Rim would now be entirely farmland albeit slightly radioactive and Soichiro Honda would have died by firing squad, a penniless farmer with many, many abstract drawings of "weird" motors for which he was persecuted for.
But that would suck. So here goes. My first post to the thread. Commitment. I want to make this a good read and as entertaining and informative as possible. Bear in mind that I am doing this on a shoestring budget and I may actually run out of money on this. It will be some time before my next post to this thread since I have to buy more firewood before I get powder coating done, but if I don't start his somehow, the bike will be doomed to a life and death in a plastic bin. I cannot let this happen. I know, through your support, I will actually have a nice little rat cafe at the end of it all.
Wish me luck. Now for the first pics:
