    Hi guys slickster again

Took my 2005 vfr for a good ride saturday two days ago after I had my main and sub main harness installed by local dealer. Good report no problems, and touched r/r as I was riding and it was warm but

not hot enough to burn me. I did not check the r/r as I was moving the last time before I had harnesses replaced, so should I still replace r/r or just carry a back up of series type/

Are you saying the bike is charging fine, but the R/R is kinda warm to the touch? <--- that's the only issue?

Yes it is not as hot as before, the new harness but I did not check the r/r heat when the bike was in motion before. But am going to carry anew r/r, because the is still 10 years old. thanks for reading

R/Rs shunt un-used power to ground, that is why they run hot, which is normal.
