Was saying to my old man the other day it looks like this year we are going to be asking "who came second?" when it comes to MotoGp.

Here's 2 vids of the 600 Supersport qualification on saturday in the rain. That's the only time I had free during racing.

    1st Lap

Here's the super bike race on suday from MA

Duccmann this is for you. Wayne wanted his picture taken with me. [IMG] It's a little blurry, bummer. The guy on the left is James. He's the head of Tech Control at the races.

All of the Honda's were having a horrible day. Did you see how out of shape they were when hard on the brakes? They have problems to cure. Sure they have a lot more power now but whatever they diod to control it sure messed up other things. Braking was one of their strong points. JL is on a tear, he is a machine cranking out lap after lap. When he gets away like that its over. Rossi did well to get on the podium. MM is having a rough year.

Sold out. Talked to the young lady who sells them, about reserving one plus a shirt. I'll get them at Barber in about 1 1/2 weeks. Yes I have to buy it. I'm ONLY a volunteer..........................for now................

He is at every race as well as the other top people who own/run MotoAmerica. They are very friendly and will talk to you without hesitation as long as they have free time. Everybody's super in this organization. They love racing and are working to make this series a stepping stone to WSBK and or MotoGP. Guys from the FIM work around tech control also. Basically for the KTM RC Cup racing because it's big in Europe. It's a spec bike from KTM built for entry level Pro roadracing.

Here they are after the race in Parc Ferme:

Parc fermé, literally meaning "closed park" in French, is a secure area at a motor racing circuit wherein the cars are driven back to the pits post-and sometimes pre-race. For example, according to the FIA Formula One regulations, the area must be sufficiently large and secure so as to prevent unauthorised access to the cars, while allowing technical checks to take place.

Very cool Grey. This may just be the savior for road racing in the U.S. DMG tried to kill it.

If you only knew........... I learned a lot about DMG and it wasn't pretty.

Yes I hope it does bring back Super Bike racing in the USA. It used to be the premier motorcycle racing at one time here. The MotoAmerica races are shown one week later on tv. I think it's CBS Sports Network. Don't quote me on that. Only time will tell, they have some good people and connections behind the scenes. I hope it works out.

It was nice to meet you and chat with you. After completing the long grueling weekend of course I want to do it again! Maybe there will be better weather. If you come back again next year, we'll have to go for a ride, maybe trace the original track route on the streets. Anyway, safe travels.

Many times on the other side of the pond, the pits are closed because of "souvenir" collectors. Seen some dudes eyeballing stuff at Laguna Seca a time or two too.

Rea is a total fucking nut. With over 100 point lead you would think 2nd place is fine, but no! He will stick in in there with anyone including his teammate Sykes to get the win. And in the wet. I don't think there is snowballs chance in hell anyone will catch him this year. He is breaking records.

Rea was competitive riding the Honda at 150% over the bikes ability. I knew when he got a Kawi ride he would be very competitive but not as dominate as he has been.

I heard from a friend the battle between Sofuoglu and Cluzel was classic. They don't like each other and it shows on the track. Kind of Rainy/Swantz competitiveness.
