    Good day troops,

    Just getting this party started, but let me warn you that this will be a very slow process!

    Ok on with the pictures, everyone loves pictures!

    Here's when I brought them home;

    Draining the fuel;

    Looks like I will need to source a left side seat panel :(

    Its one of just several parts that were not duplicated with the parts bike.

    Interesting way to replace the start switch;

    [IMG]

    Removed the battery to put it on a trickle charge;

    Left side pic, not much to see here;

    Some pics of the tank damage;

    Now I have repaired much worst fuel tanks than this, but...

    I have a third spare that came with the bike, lookslike it was mounted at one time by the witness marks on the underside, but not for very long. There is absolutely zero rust inside, and other than a few blemishes it's minty fresh!

    The only issue is that it's the wrong colour.

    My favorite year and color of Interceptor! That bike is in really nice shape. But, if you wanna see slow in fixing up a bike, look no farther than my garage!

    So I hooked up my IV pole to try and get this one running but the floats in the carbs were stuck filling the crankcase with fuel.

    So I removed the carbs and have them soaking in a bucket of water for a few weeks to clean them out.

    slowly but surely!

    Soaking carbs in water won't clean them properly and may lead to corrosion.
