My seat on my 6th gen doesn't seem to fit quite right. Is this a common problem? I'll try to get pictures tonight of what I'm talking about...
although it fits snug up front and doesn't wobble or wiggle, the pillion end seems like it's riding a bit high and there is a gap between the cowl and the tail that doesn't look nice and tight like I see in other pictures of 6th gen bikes. Any ideas?

If I understand this correctly, the gap you see is where the rear seat cover goes.

Is that fitting weird or am I just nitpicking?

You sure you have the cowl connected correctly in the rear? And the seat locked into place?
Cowl looks alittle high in the back

yeah. I've checked that it was fastened to the seat at all three points of contact. It snaps right into place on the seat. I even bought a salvaged cowl to make sure it wasn't just mine.
I rode the bike to work today. If I get a chance I'll go get pics of the underside of the seat for reference. I'm not that mechanically inclined, but I can change my own oil and remove my own wheels and do basic things. it just bugs me when I look at it.

The tail fairing is does moved up and down. It is not a solid fit....!
You can check under the tail to make sure all the bolts are tight. But other then that it is mnormal

That typically happens to the Silver VFRs. You should have got Red (fastest bikes also)
