Update: been riding daily for at least half an hour, city, freeway, etc. No further slippages or leaking.

My guess master cylinder overfilled and not enough room for the fluid from the slave to return back to the master cylinder, can't figure any other cause. This would also account for the weeping as well

That was the case at first when it was really full but even after I drained some it was still doing that. Only after super thoroughly cleaning including that little pressure relief hole did it go back to normal. Funny how literally the tiniest thing can stop you dead in the water! That also makes sense why after riding a lot it started slipping and once I opened the banjo bolt roadside it suddenly worked normal but started slipping the next day. Pressure built up and built up during rides cause the return was blocked off. I don't know now whether to put the new clutch in or get my 100 bucks back.... I will give it a week and see.

Resolved. After 500 VIGOROUS miles of riding, clutch is fine. It was just the excess pressure not being released from the tiny pressure release hole in the MC.

    Hi guys,
Sorry to butt in after all that has been said, but I have a clutch question and thought htis might be the right place to ask. I have a 2000 5th gen with just over 53K and the clutch fluid level in the master is going down. Everything seems to be working perfectly and I haven't found any leaks. Is this just normal wear on the clutch plates causing the level to go down? If so, what is normal life expectancy from the clutch? I think I'm a pretty good rider and don't abuse it too much. If this isn't normal, what should I be on the lookout for?
    Thanks for any help.
