boy did I drop the ball on this one. sorry for being so vague. i'm trying to find 2 h4 adapter rings. Tried several sites with no results. Was hoping that a member may have a pair that they dont need. If not no ather choice but to use honda bulbs.

Like I said cut off the two bottom taps if you cannot find the adapter rings.

Or buy a head light from a 90-93 model and use standard H4's. Everything else is identical to the 94-97 headlight, including the mounts and lens.

The seller on Ebay with the adapter shims may only look like he/she has only a couple of sets for sale.. It might be worth an inquiry.

The mysterious and pricy "Honda" lamps are "ME STANLEY HALOGEN 12V45/45W" Sylvania and others state on their sites and data in automotive retailers that their lamps are identical. Not so... One Tab is larger on the Stanleys and the Sylvanias do not fit properly.

Walmart's auto section in most stores has either a book or viewer for selecting their lamps. I was "assured" by the dudes at O'Reilly Auto Parts that they were the same.. The stock # was

    9003XV/2BP @ $24.99. That's 25 pesos USP...

Now what we need is a source for the Stanleys withoot breaking the bank.

This from my mach 1 91.

Cutting off tabs and installing same is not good fit..

Rather than cutting the tabs off of an H4, just bend them all the way back. The extra thickness makes them fit very well. You will need to crimp them flat with a pair of pliers. The H4's are much brighter, much easier to find, and much cheaper. Go ahead and try them. You can thank me later. :)

I bought mine from this seller. I guess he was out of stock in Toronto so mine came directly from Hungary. Same shipping price and still got them in a week. Very happy how it went. Good quality, too.

BTW, maybe down under the 90-93's had real H4's, but mine had the stupid Honda ones.
