    Hello all

Well I'm new to Hondas I'm new to big bikes as well been riding 125cc for almost 2 years. Sold my 125 and purchased a 2005 VFR 800 last week it is now sat in my back yard just sitting there teasing me till I can pass my test when I'm 24.

It's a bit sad when my dad has to ride in front me just to give it a run so it's not just sat there.

Congrats on your new purchase. The VFR is bullet proof IMO :thumb:
Good luck with your test and post some picture of this such bike that you claim.

    :welcome:

Well, under different circumstances I'd be tempted to chastise you for choosing a bike before getting your licence, but seeing as you chose as you did... Good call.

I had a VFR for a first bike, it's a hell of a place to start! and at the risk of sounding like doubtless many others that you've spoken to, it's also a looooong way from a 125, so when you get your hands on it properly, be sure you've got a plentiful supply of self-restraint ready - the temptation to nail the throttle to the stop is gonna be great, but pick your moments carefully and be safe, cos it's a steep learning curve!

Anyway, enough of sounding patronising.... Good luck with your test, and stick around when you've passed!

Oh, and +1 on what mofo says, that thing is gonna make you grin like a loon :bolt:

Hi VFRnewbie I thanks for the reply. The bike you see next to mine is the sprint 1050 St and I was able ride on it for a couple of hours and from specs of the two there not a million miles apart from each other at the beginning I was a bit wobble due to the wait and the turning circle of it after getting used it I thought I handled it rather well. I no when I'm able to ride my VFR I got get used to it all again but at least I know now what to expect and in my honest opinion I'm very safe and cautious rider/driver.
