So my forum intro was basically announcing my dropping incident this past weekend. Hardly a way to get off on the right foot! I'm English, but have lived in the States for nearly a decade now. Currently in Houston, TX. Long time stalker of this and the VFRD forums.

I'm 31, but have only been riding for a year. Went for it because it was always something I wanted to do, plus I wanted to reduce the mileage the car was doing as it crept towards 100k. The Viffer is the second bike I've owned. Had a Honda NC700x first because it was a practical bike in every way except for being boring as hell to ride. Wasn't long before I found myself looking for a more refined, sportier bike (that I could comfortably fit on, being 6'3" and all). Discovered the VFR through research and waited for one to pop up near me that was 06 and later (falsely assuming the electrical bugs were fixed in that year onward).

Eventually I found a white model at a small local dealership with 12k on the clock, PCIII, and Remus CF cans. The second they fired her up in the showroom I melted. Sold the NC and took the Viffer home a week later. That was last November.

It's the perfect bike - refined, fast if needed, and gorgeous to look at. Averages mid-30 mpgs in the slow H-town commute, which isn't bad. The NC was at 68, but like I said, it was excellent at everything but entertainment (and wind buffeting). This bike is a keeper. I can only add more bikes now. No replacing.

BTW, it's a shot in the dark, but the bike came with no past history or documentation. If anyone is/was aware of a previous (or still current?) member that had a white 06 with the Remus cans (a rare combo from what I can tell), I'd love to get a better idea of its history.

    Cheers all. Great group here!

That's a great looking bike. Love the color combo and the Remus.

We'll forgive you for visiting the other forums. But don't tell them you come here.

Those wheels were stock for the white ones at least. I don't think they are even painted. I think they just put a clear finish on the aluminum wheels. Nice clean looking ride you got there. Maybe next time I get mine painted again, I will leave it all white. Looked kinda sharp when I got it painted last before I decaled it out. Now with the white wheels as well, well maybe it will be even more sharp.
