If I don't have the lexicon down right, forgive me.

I have done a few 2-3 day trips, borrowed saddle bags, sometimes 'wedding cake' tail bags...

But as a designer in heart and profession, I see the tunnel bag a best solution for my needs. No hard boxes yet for me.

I have looked at Saddlemen, Givi, Gears, Kriega's multi-"pods", and more, and wanted everyone's opinion. Pictures are best, especially if applied to 4th gen, not knowing the differing widths of the rear pillion of every VFR iteration.

Someone on here DID have a picture of a Givi x-stream, and it looked nice, and quite large ( I think there are two sizes )

Sorta like to do this right the first time, rather than buy a pair of AXE saddle bags, and strapping my Ogio duffel or a dry bag in the middle - tho this would certainly be an incredibly cheapest route, but still simply a tied-me-over until the right solution clicks (excuse the puns) !!

Average size looking: from something w 30-40 liters capacity. Load will be in conjunction w my Ogio tank bag I take everywhere.

    Thanks mates !

As for Giant Loop offerings, their Coyote seems to fit the bill. It comes w three inner pods which help direct appropriate amounts thus better forming to the 'sections' of the loop-style bag. Considering all that comes w their gear (design also updated a few yrs ago), the price is reasonable.
I thought first their Great Basin model would do it, but then saw how much stuff fit in their next size down - the Coyote. Tough stuff.

    -Thanks again Badbilly

The company is based in Bend, OR. The original partners are great guys and back country riders. This is no mess around luggage. All the straps, buckles , hardware ect., are heavy duty.

I have one of the original "tunnel" bags in basic black. One small mod if you want to call it that is putting a couple of those Sterlite plastic boxes in the pockets. The Sterlite boxes also work in various tank bags.
