Did you see the June addition of Cycle World where Peter Egan picked the VFR as one of four modern classic bargains? The criteria was to pick the best bikes in the $3000 to $5000 price range built after 1990. He got the VFR spot on, at least for me. It has kind of ruined me for other bikes. He says ". . .hardly anything on earth feels as precise, comfortable and competent than the VFR." It is so true that when I look at bikes I just think, "my VFR is just as good (or better then that)" and I just pass.

I recall they have the review on Cycle World last year and the VFR were the top pick for the best used bike :thumb:

It is the best bike i have ever owned. The only thing my VFR balks at is the off road rough stuff. It's just not much of a dirt bike.

Yeah, if you are staying on the street the VFR is a great bike. I love my GS for those times when I want to know where that dirt road goes, though. If I have to have one all around, the GS gets the nod just for that little piece. As cheap as the VFR is, though, it really doesn't cost much to own an older one.

I love the sound and feel of those gear drive cams, it has a different frequency than my parallel twin fer sure. My 91 is so well sorted it still makes me smile two decades later, hope everything ages as well :pound:

The 90-93s when new were top picks in most MC mags worldwide.
