    Hey fella's!

I have been a long time lurker on the site. Well Monday, a shiny red VFR-800D model just followed me home from the Honda dealer! I have to say that I am really, really, really happy with this bike!!! I have wanted an Interceptor since 1983 and it has been a long wait!

I want to thank you guys! Because reading the site has helped me on a lot of decisions with the bike & gear etc. for the VFR. I'm going riding!

Welcome, wise choice, you will continue to love it the more you get to know it. I got the Interceptor bug in 1983 and still have it!

Mine followed me from Hendersonville! I have never owned a bike that I felt so comfortable on so quickly! I think a short trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway will be in order soon!

Yea I turn a few parts every now and then. My machining centers are in the other corner. I'm already trying to figure out something to make for it!

The Blue Ridge would be nice, a little far from the beach to do a day ride or two, but would be a blast either way. I have a few buddies headed to the Dragon this June. I agree with the comfort, I'm tall at 6'3 and I really like the riding position, after long rides I don't feel like I spent 2hours at the gym. Let us know when you start machining after market parts. You may get a few orders...

That's too funny. My buddy bought the 06 from Team Charlotte a few hours before I picked up mine in Winston. He was looking for a used bike and all the talking I do about the VFR, hooked him on it. I Need to recruit him to the forum...

I will keep you all posted on whatever I figure out to make. Maybe a aluminum bar mount that is flexible for mounting phones, gps etc. Maybe engrave VFR on it or something like that LOL.

I spent 3 solid hours on it today from one end of the county to the other a few times! That's the longest time I have spent on it and it is running really well. Even had a few HD riders wave!

294 Flawless miles! Only had 1 moron pull out in front of me this week and I discovered it has great stoppers also!
One quick and stupid question. How do I set the clock? I forgot my owners manual at the dealer and wont be going back till the end of this coming week. I searched the forum, but wow! A whole bunch of threads with clock in them.

    From the manual:
    Press and hold A & B buttons
    Press A for correct hour
Press the B button, minutes start flashing
Press A button until correct minute
Press the B button. The clock is set. Turn off ignition.
