I always liked that model and color scheme of Hurricane, I wanted a Vfr700 forever after owning alot of other 80's bikes I lusted after. But could never find one in even sorta good condition until one day I did, but had no cash. Then I forgot about it. Then two weeks later I had cash and was browsing local bikes for sale and there it was, couldnt believe the guy still had it. It worked out.

What size is that rear tire on the VFR? Looks super tall.

It is. 140...something. I'll check. I thought the same when I bought it...the guy said it had a wider, lil bigger tire. I'll check. Is that not good?

Depends on how it feels in the saddle. Your ride height is probably higher than stock. I bet the bike would be all new to you if you put a stock height tire on it.

Nice bikes, I had a 1988 Hurricane 600 Black/Grey with red rims, until last year. Just picked up a 1990 VFR that needed some TLC.
Can't wait until warm weather gets here.

It took many years but I finally spent some time on my hurricane. These two bikes make me smile ear to ear!!! Today was the first day she's Been out for a long ride. I had to talk a little sweet to her..." C'mon ol girl, you've been sitting for a while...don't ah wanna go out and play for a while"...she still sputtered. C mom girl I'll park ya right by a nice BMW..."
Not sure why but off we went! LMAO!
