    Hi guys,

I didn't even look at the differences in map and option settings between the PCIII and the PCV, so maybe my ebay offer was a dumb idea, but I threw a $225 bid at a good condition PCIII with O2 elims and won. I haven't been a viffer rider for long, so I just wanted to hear from the community if I got a decent deal or was stupid.

    Thanks,
    Jai

I bought a used PCIII for my 03 from the VFRW classifieds for less, but prices on eBay are higher and more competitive. You will love it, make lower rams smoother.

Thanks for the positive note, Allyance. Wouldn't you know it, two days after I bought it, on ebay, somebody posted a "like new" PCIII, closeby on craigslist, for $175.

Oh well. It's in the mail, and I'm looking forward to it. The bike is stock now, but I have 7 or 8 mods ready and waiting for transformation day!

I will get into researching PCIII info soon enough, but what map(s) do you have set up, and why?

Also, Any quick tips on the PCIII application?

I just bought a Red (soon to be white and black) '03 with 7k on it.

Do you have a laptop? You can either program it on the bike, but a better way is to power it with a 9volt battery and program it off the bike.
Go to their web site and get their software, and firmware updates. The are very helpful.

I used one of their maps for stock exhaust. K&N air filter didn't make any difference in maps.

Here is 9v adapter. I may still have mine I can send you, will check tomorrow.

Got 9v battery connector with pins on pigtails to plug into PCIII connector as shown if you want it, I don't need it any more.

Yeah, that would be great. I would appreciate not having to put it on "the list" of stuff to make. Let me know how much it is to send, and I'll paypal or venmo you. I'll PM you the address.
I have a laptop that I can use to give the programming a shot.

    Much appreciated Allyance!

Yeah, it seems pretty damn good. Only looked at a couple things so far, but I'm sure I'll spend hours more. I'm starting from a stock red '03 with 8K miles and doing a pretty thorough transformation to my choice ride. I know it won't be astounding, but will have some useful info, for somebody. Do pics go here or is there a projects section?
