Lol...has a bad rectifier or something. If this was local I'd definfitely buy it. Got a similar steal when i bought mine for $1700 a few years ago. Just needed carb clean and rectifier.

that's been my experience with most of my older bikes I "collect". Usually just a gummed up carb or simple electrical issue. Lucky for me, very few people know what a carburetor is these days, makes my unnecessary number of bikes easy to justify to the wife.

I can't seem to justify anymore. I am desiring a newer one to ride other than my 87...she's not digging it! Not to mention mechanically inclined I AM NOT. But I am learning!

I dont think so...I think the guy was clueless. I noticed it had a corbin seat on it, which is really hard to find without someone trying to rape you on price, since they are so expensive new. He had a couple offers on the whole bike but he said if they fell through he would send me the seat for pretty cheap if i just payed for shipping. I think the guy just had no clue what he had.

If I brought that thing home, I would have to have an Arai or my Shoei on, cause my wife would be throwing pots and pans at me :pound: A non-running bike like that is $500 imho, I got my gen3 bike for that price and trailored it home. My worse case scenerio was I could have sold the rear wheel and still had some parts, as it turned oot, all was ok. Alot of time and labour went into it to make it a realiable bike though.
