what did you do to your vfr today?

What do you think of your HID's? My 07 came with high and low's installed by the PO, i ended up replacing the high beam h7's with Sylvania Ultra Stars, the HID's just took too much time to warm up up when flicked on to be effective for flash to pass or reply to the occasional flash that you get from oncoming traffic, besides, the low beams put out a ton of light IMO and I rarely need the high's on. What are your thoughts?

I installed a voltmeter, Gipro Ds gear indicator and an Autotune for my Powercommander. The gear indicator is not really necessary but I just like gadgets . Now I just need to do a lot of riding to have the autotune do its work. I'm still using one map, but I hooked up the Autotune to be able to use the map by gear in the future.
I also attached a usb cable to the powercommander so I don't have to take off the seat every time to read out the PC.

 

I haven't started up yet this year. But I picked up oil, filter etc. But the wife decided to stay home from work today and totally messed up my plans.

 

changed oil, did check over. went for first ride.

Ordered Vista Cruise, and ram mount for iPhone.

 

Went for a nice loop ride and put on 389 kms. Actually rode it in snow.....scary even if only for a short stretch on the top of the pass on hwy 24.....got it filthy and so once it cools for another 20 minutes or so will go out and wash her and lube the chain.

Finally did a short ride with the new PR4's. Oh they feel so sweet.

Had the painter put coats for Ferrari Red Rosso Barchetta on the VFR. Stay tuned . . .

 

Had to park it in my sisters back yard in Baltimore. Then drive back home to Western NY. I will be back to ride it home next month!

 

Just in time for our normal wet summers. I hope they are as good in the wet as I have heard.

Thats where I found mine about 2 months ago. Guy had rashed it so I got it for $50. Was perfeft for what Seb needed.

Wow - Twisted Throttle is quick to ship. I ordered it Sunday and it arrived today. It helps to be on the East Coast sometimes.

It started to rain just after I installed it, so testing it will wait until tomorrow.

 

Finished up fitting new steering head bearings, quick test ride, result! No slight clunk on hard braking. Finished in time to get off to our first bike night of the year - http://www.bikersnite.com/.By7oclock there was at least 500 bikes there, later on 700+? Walked round - only saw a new 800 and a 97 5th Gen with 58800 on the clock, immaculate, better condition than mine with 26500 on her. Loads of Harleys including one with a front tyre as big as the Tumbler in the Batman films! Why no more VFRs, are we an endangered species. Feel kinda of lonely round here. VFRs are like rocking horse shite.
