    Hi all!

I started riding a year and a few months ago on a Ninja 250. I am a larger guy (6'3" 205lbs), so that bike was great to learn on, but as I got more adventurous it was just uncomfortable to ride over any long distance. So I started looking for my first big bike about 8 months ago.

After tons of looking and research I fell in love with the V4 bikes, with so few options out there. I naturally gravitated towards the VFR. I became obsessed with the sound of the gear-cam models and desperately started trawling craigslist and ebay.

I found one a few weeks ago that I thought would work out, a 93 750. It looked good in the pictures but the price was a bit high. I went to take a look and it had too many small issues to be worth anywhere near what the seller was asking, and he wouldn't budge. So I continued on.

I was starting to get impatient, spring was coming and I wanted a bigger bike to go on longer trips with my friends. I finally said I would take a VTEC 800 than spend another season on the 250. I found a really nice, low mileage 07' at a dealership that had a superb reputation. I went in to look at it (ironically, it was one of the very rare Texas snow days) And as I walked in the door, I noticed a red bike sitting next to the bike I had come to look at. After talking to the sales guy, talking to the owner of the dealership (who also happened to be the previous owner of the bike) I was sold.

The bike is absolutely mint. 17k miles and had just had full service and the electrical system had been worked on as preventative maintenance. Tires were just scrubbed in and not a scratch anywhere. I paid probably more than I should have, but the 3rd - 5th gen VFR has been my dream bike for some time. And it just felt like fate that the bike happened to be there on that day. And it came with a box of parts, manuals, spare tools, and some cool VFR literature.

Weird thing though, I took the rear cowl off and put the grab bars on so my girlfriend can ride on the back, I reinstalled the cowl bolts and made sure to snug them down. I think one of them somehow managed to back out and is now missing from the bike, that or one of my apartment neighbors is jealous and stole it.....so I need to replace that and get a set of cowl hole plugs because those were not among the things that came with the bike, so I had to order those.

I have only been able to put 400 miles on it since bringing it home, but they have been the most fun I have had on two wheels.

I am at work right now so can't upload pictures, but I will when I get home later!

    Cheers!
